Frequently Asked Questions

  • What type of yoga do you offer?

Our classes draw mainly from hatha, vinyasa, yin, and restorative yoga.

Our offerings are contemporary which means we take a more modern approach to the practice and instruction of yoga.  This can include peppering our classes with complementary practices (think Pilates, functional movement, and mindfulness, for example) and combining yoga styles.  We love a class full of textures and layers!

  • What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing that allows you to move in all directions.  Layers are always handy, especially for our slower classes (breathe & restore, stretch & unwind).  We are a barefoot studio.

  • Are there classes for beginners?

Yes!  Our classes are all levels unless otherwise specified in the class description.  Please don’t hesitate to contact us (hello@ebbandflostudio.com) if you’d like suggestions on which class(es) to take!

  • Do you have mats and props available for use?

Yes!  We have complimentary blocks, bolsters, blankets, and straps available for use in all classes.

Please bring your own mat, but we do have a few available to rent if needed.

  • Is there music in your classes?

Absolutely!  We love practicing to music and believe the music (or sound!) in class is an important part of the experience.  Our instructors have creative control over their music and sound selections.

  • What does Ebb & Flo mean?

Ebb and flow is defined as: “a recurrent or rhythmical pattern of coming and going or decline and growth”.

To us, ebb & flo is more than a name, it’s a philosophy!  We recognize that everything in life ebbs and flows and we believe that yoga as a longevity practice can help us understand and navigate the beauty in life’s constant changes.

  • What forms of payment are accepted?

Credit card (MasterCard, Visa, AMEX) is the only form of payment accepted.

  • Where do I find the studio?

The entrance to our building is on the south side of Danforth Ave, just a few steps east of the Tim Hortons entrance.  Make your way up to the third floor and we are the door right at the top of the steps.

  • Where can I park?

There is Green P street parking all along Danforth Ave and on Broadview Ave.  There is also parking at Loblaws (2 minutes away by foot) at 720 Broadview Ave.

  • How do I get there by TTC?

We are located 140m (2-minute walk) from the Broadview subway station.  Once you exit the station, walk south.  We are located on the southeast corner of Broadview and Danforth.

  • I'm going to be a few minutes late, can I still come to class?

Our class start times are purposeful and adhered to.  While we understand stuff happens, our doors are locked at the start of class and late entry is not permitted.

  • Where do I store my things in class?

We have storage cubbies in both the changeroom and the practice room.

  • What is your late cancel/no show policy?

Class reservations require a minimum of 3 hours' notice for cancellation. A late cancellation fee of $15 plus HST applies to any cancellations made within 3 hours of the class start time or for classes that are booked and not attended.

Please ensure timely cancellation of your reservation to avoid charges!

For both Class Packs (5 and 10 packs) and Drop-Ins, late cancellation or no-show will result in the loss of the single class credit.

Please note that our 3-hour cancellation window is among the most lenient in the city. There are no exceptions to this policy.
